This dreamy desert engagement session here in the Sonoran Desert was so much fun to photograph! Receiving these film scans back put the BIGGEST smile on my face, Chris can attest to that! I love film so much and it’s been a renewing and exciting, and rather short, journey learning film. I’ve fallen head over heels with the way film looks, the emotion captured, the classic nature of film, and the grain in the images.

This was a brand new location to me, and I only photographed with film! Just a little scary, no digital backup, in fact I didn’t even bring it with us on our hike into this magical spot. I photographed Anabel and Josh alongside my friend Lynette and it was such a treat to be asked along! It’s always nice to have a fellow photographer photographing beside you, especially one as sweet and talented as Lynette.

Josh was joking the entire session that he really wanted pasta for dinner. Anabel told him she already had dinner plans for what to make. I really hope he got his pasta but in the meantime it made for some great laughs. Lynette and I grabbed pizza afterwards and discussed SEO. I wouldn’t say I am fluent in SEO, it appears to be something that changes along with new apps and trends every few months but I shared what I could to help // #communityovercompetition //. If anything, it’s always nice to connect with a fellow small-business owning, film-shooting mama!
