Laura & Duncan braved some pretty intense heat and crowds for their sweet + romantic Saguaro Lake engagement session together! I absolutely love this spot, but in the Summer months it’s very busy with boaters, families barbecuing, and wild horses. Luckily, a short hike takes you to an incredible spot perfect at sunset overlooking the water! Laura & Duncan were up for the aventure, including a quick outfit change and battling all the bugs that come with a pretty spot near the water in Arizona. Their adorable pup Sherman tagged along for the session and he is just sweetest.

Duncan & Laura have a sweet love between the two of them and an even bigger love for Sherman. He was a doll during their session, I wanted to scoop him up and take him home with me. If you both ever need a dog sitter, you know who to ask. 🙂

I used a hybrid of digital and film during this session, I feel like engagement sessions are the perfect time to shoot film! They tend to be much more relaxed and chill compared to the fast paced environment of a wedding day. I can’t wait for these two to tie the knot this February! They picked a beautiful old mission in Scottsdale and will be partying the night away at a local brewery, Goldwater Brewing. How fun is that?! I can’t wait!
