Kristen and Davis had a beautiful Las Sendas wedding day! The sun was shining, they have the sweetest families, and were the most laid back couple. I think my favorite part of their day was their first look. Davis was so relaxed, but he couldn’t hide his happiness seeing Kristen in her dress! Kristen had a fun jean jacket (I love a good jean jacket!) that she rocked for some of her portraits and it added the perfect pop against her white dress and the desert backdrop.

Las Sendas has so many pretty desert spots perfect for a first look and sunset portraits. We created their timeline together with ample time for their first look, which is a part of the day I love photographing. It’s such a special time and it may be the only time during a wedding day where you spend alone time with your partner! It also ensures you’ll be able to join your cocktail hour as we will capture lots of couple’s portraits together after your first look. I highly recommend couples do a first look! It’s security in having those once in a lifetime portraits together incase of bad weather or any change to your timeline later in the day. Of course, I still love 15-20 minutes for sunset portraits too, but taking the time for photos after a first look is just an added bonus!

After cocktail hour Kristen and Davis entered their reception to one BIG party! Davis danced with his mom to a Bob Marley song, and from his brother’s best man speech, you could tell this song perfectly summed up their mother//son relationship. Kristen and her mom danced the entire night away too and it was so fun to see so many of Kristen & Davis’ friends celebrate their best day ever with them!
